Who can join these charters?

Certified freedivers or Blueback Freedivers with their certification 'in-progress' are welcome for all water activities and line training.

Non‑certified participants may join as snorkelers (see pricing) but cannot participate in depth/line training unless they are Blueback Freediving & Yoga course students in-progress.

What's the typical day plan?

Blueback Freedive charters are day trips with 2–3 ocean adventure freediving sessions:

1. Dive site exploration session/s (1-2 sessions)
2. One structured line‑training/depth session on a freedive buoy with a training buddy and coach.

Breaks for lunch, rest, nature immersion, social connection and safety briefs. 
Start/finish times vary with weather and location.
Snacks, fruit, lunch and tea/coffee included.
Boat will pick up and drop off from the same jetty location specified in your confirmation email. We foster environmentally-friendly transport, and support Whatsapp car-pooling on the week leading up to the Blueback Freedive Charter.

Question 3

How deep will we be diving?

Depth training is typically set up to around 20 m, adjusted to conditions and participant experience. You’ll progress at your own pace under professional supervision.

Question 4

What if the weather changes?

Accepted Answer

For the comfort and safety of all participants, the itinerary and sites may be adjusted or the charter rescheduled if weather changes and is no longer safe to dive.

We’ll communicate any changes as early as possible; standard reschedule/cancellation policies apply. See our Terms and Conditions link by scrolling to the bottom of the website for more info.

Our skipper for Blueback Freedive Charters usually makes the final call earlier than 24 hours before the trip. If you haven't heard from us the day before the charter - we are good to go!
