Who can join?

Accepted Answer

Certified freedivers or Blueback Freedivers with their certification 'in-progress' are welcome for all water activities and line training.

Non-certified freedivers are welcome to join the wreck sessions and snorkel — a $20 surcharge applies — but line diving requires certification or 'in-progress' status.

What’s the typical day plan?

We meet at 7:30 AM at the private charter vessel 'Obsession II', Service Jetty, Boat Ramp Road, Casuarina Harbour, Bunbury (free parking directly in front of the Service Jetty). The vessel departs at 7:45/8 AM for the 'Lena' shipwreck and returns around 12:30/1 PM.

The morning includes guided wreck sessions plus one optional line session, with breaks for rest and safety briefs. Snacks, lunch and tea-coffee are included. Start and finish times can vary with the weather.

How deep will we be diving?

The wreck sits at accessible depths for exploration, and line practice is typically set up to around 18m, adjusted to conditions and participant experience.

Progression happens at your individual pace under professional supervision.

Will we see dolphins?

Accepted Answer

Goomburrup-Bunbury is home to wild dolphins, and they often join us in the water — but they're wild, so no promises.

When they do show up, it's unforgettable.

Question 5

What if the weather changes?

Accepted Answer

The itinerary and dive sites may be adjusted, or the day rescheduled, if conditions are no longer safe to dive. We'll communicate any changes as early as possible; standard reschedule/cancellation policies apply — see our Terms and Conditions at the bottom of the website.

The skipper usually makes the final call more than 24 hours before departure. If you haven't heard from us the day before — we are good to go!

What gear do I need?

Accepted Answer

Swimwear, towel and warm layers for between sessions, plus your own freediving gear: mask, snorkel, fins, a 5mm wetsuit, and a weight belt with weights.

No gear yet? Hire a full set from us for the day — $85 standard or $95 premium, selected at checkout — or individual items at daily rates via the booking form. If you're prone to seasickness, come prepared.
