Five globally recognised certifications, each building on the last. Start with Basic Freediver or go straight to Freediver Level 1, then progress to Advanced and Master as your skills and confidence grow, or train to lead others as a Snorkel Guide.
Every course combines PADI eLearning with studio and pool training, and from Level 1 up, the open water.

PADI Certification Courses - Five Options
PADI Basic Freediver Course
Your first step into breath-hold diving, pool only.
from $350 per person

The foundations: relaxation, breath awareness and smooth, efficient movement in water.

Studio theory and breathwork, then static and dynamic apnea in a calm pool, no open-water depth.

Open to anyone 12 and over who swims confidently; no diving or snorkelling experience needed.

Basic is Part A of the full PADI Freediver certification: add the depth component later to complete Level 1.
PADI Freediver
Level 1 Course
Your first full certification, where knowledge, practice and the ocean come together
from $550 per person

Studio, pool, then two open-water sessions on the line, with full safety setup.

Learn to dive safely with a buddy, apply rescue skills and explore depth with confidence.

A globally recognised PADI Freediver certification, with line dives to 10 to 16 metres.

A 3-day standard course or a 2-day weekend intensive, open from age 12.
PADI Advanced Freediver Course (Level 2)
Deeper, longer, more refined: the next level for certified freedivers.

Extend your breath-hold, refine your technique and build confident depth progression.

Advanced safety and rescue skills, with the safety-first, nature-connected approach Blueback is known for.

Small groups of certified freedivers, minimum of three per course.

PADI Master Freediver Course (Level 3)

PADI Snorkel Guide Course
Lead others in the water, the Blueback way.

Learn to plan and lead safe, engaging snorkel experiences for groups of mixed ability.

Studio, pool and open water: briefing a group, managing people in the water, responding when something goes wrong.
