Is there depth or line training on this trip?

No — deliberately. This day is pure reef freediving and exploration: no line, no drills, just wild nature with your buddy. If you're chasing line time or depth, look at the 1-Day Rottnest Reef + Line Freedive or our Deep Freedives sessions.

Swimwear, towel and warm layers for between sessions, plus your own freediving gear: mask, snorkel, fins, a 5mm wetsuit, and a weight belt with weights. No gear yet? Hire a full set from us for the day — $85 standard or $95 premium, selected at checkout — or individual items at daily rates via the booking form. If you're prone to seasickness, come prepared.

The 1-Day Rottnest Double Reef Freedive is a pure-fun charter day: two of Rotto's best reef sites in one trip, with no line or depth training — just wild nature, buddied reef exploration and plenty of water time aboard a mixed diving vessel.

Our professional Blueback Freedive Coach will be on hand to provide valuable coaching assistance and safety guidance. You'll be buddied up and guided to dive some of Rotto's best kept freedive secrets.

Frequently Asked Questions

We meet at 6:45 AM at our private charter vessel at East Street Jetty, East Fremantle (free parking by the 'Left Bank' Hotel — drop your bags at the jetty, park, and it's a 5-minute walk back). The vessel departs at 7 AM for Wadjemup-Rottnest Island and returns around 2/2:30 PM. The day includes two guided reef sessions with plenty of water time, and a proper break for lunch and rest in between. Snacks, lunch and tea-coffee are included. Start and finish times can vary with the weather.

The itinerary and dive sites may be adjusted, or the day rescheduled, if conditions are no longer safe to dive. We'll communicate any changes as early as possible; standard reschedule/cancellation policies apply — see our Terms and Conditions at the bottom of the website. The skipper usually makes the final call more than 24 hours before departure. If you haven't heard from us the day before — we are good to go!
