Blueback Tasmania Kelp Forest Adventure

From $3,200

Join us for an interstate freedive expedition to explore the wild Giant Kelp forests of the deep south of Tasmania. You will be joined by a small group of intrepid adventurers with a thirst for the rare, uniquely-crisp sensations of freediving in the wildest underwater cathedrals of the sea - home to a biodiverse array of temperate-water sea-life including majestic southern right whales, seals, dolphins and the elusive sea dragon.

Your holiday will include 4 nights accommodation, all meals and dive charters, exploring a hand-picked selection of beaches and bays, abundant with birdlife with wandering albatross, endangered wedge-tailed eagles and sea eagles counted among them. We will practice reciprocity with the sea - contributing to Giant kelp Reforestation and protection efforts using our skills as freediver in a most unique way.

Limited places for this once-in-a-lifetime discovery tour of south coast Tasmania.

  • Explore hand‑picked kelp forest and reef sites around southern Tasmania, guided by local freedive pros.

  • Complete a structured Kelp Reforestation Training Program for freedivers, learning about these fragile and diminishing ecological communities and how to protect them.

  • Dive in safe buddy pairs throughout, with best‑practice safety protocols and surface supervision.

  • Enjoy relaxed days under the sea with time to rest, refuel, and review the miracles witnessed beneath the waves between dives.
