Deep Freedives are for certified freedivers only, and proof of certification must be provided.

Not certified yet? The Learn to Freedive Program or our PADI courses are the path in — we'd love to see you on the line once you're through.

What’s the difference between Coached and Training Line Diving?

Accepted Answer

Coached Line Diving ($80) means diving with a professional Blueback Freediving Coach following a training plan, with a maximum of 3 freedivers per coach and float.

Training Line Diving ($60) is independent line diving without a coach: a minimum of 2 freedivers share a line, taking turns diving and keeping watch over each other's safety. You choose your format when you book.

Can I book Training Line Diving on my own?

Training Line Diving requires a minimum of 2 freedivers sharing a line — that's the safety model: one dives while the other keeps watch.

Book with a buddy, or get in touch and we'll let you know if other freedivers are already on the line for that session.

Question 4

Where and when do sessions run?

Accepted Answer

Sessions run on weekend mornings, 8am to 10am, at Perth's deep coastal dive sites: the Rockingham Wreck Trail (also known as the Churchill Park Dive Trail) in Rockingham, and The Coombe Reserve in Mosman Park.

The site for each session is confirmed closer to the day, based on conditions.

What if the weather changes?

Sessions are weather- and conditions-dependent and require a minimum number of participants; if conditions are unsuitable we will contact you to rearrange.

Bookings close 1 week before each session. Standard reschedule/cancellation policies apply — see our Terms and Conditions at the bottom of the website.

Question 6

What gear do I need?

Accepted Answer

Your own full freediving setup: mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, and a weight belt with weights. Freediving equipment is required and is not provided.

Bring swimwear, a towel and warm layers — mornings in the water start cool — plus proof of your freediving certification.
